AN

ORDINANCE

to dissolve the North-West Frontier Province Adhoc Public Accounts Committee and to repeal the North-West Frontier Province Adhoc Public Accounts Committee (Composition and Functions) Ordinance, 2001.

WHEREAS the Provincial Assembly of the [5][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] shall stand revived and reconstituted as a result of general election to be held on the
10^th October, 2002;

AND WHEREAS on revival and reconstitution of the Provincial Assembly as aforesaid, the [6][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] Adhoc Public Accounts Committee (Composition and Functions) Ordinance, 2002 ([7][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] Ord. No. XXIX of 2001), serves no purpose and should be repealed;

AND WHEREAS the Governor of the [8][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;

           NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, as amended uptodate, and the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of 1999, read with Article 4 of the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order No. 9 of 1999, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of the [9][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:

1.         Short extent and commencement.— (1) This Ordinance may be called the [10][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa]Adhoc Public Accounts Committee (Composition and Functions) (Repeal) Ordinance, 2002.

            (2)      It shall come into force at once on the 11^thday of November, 2002.

2.         Repeal of N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXIX of 2001.—(1) The North-West Frontier Province Adhoc Public Accounts Committee (Composition and Functions) Ordinance, 2001 (N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXIX of 2001), is hereby repealed and the Committee constituted thereunder shall stand dissolved.

(2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Ordinance under sub-section (1), anything done or action taken under the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to has been validly done or taken and shall not be called in question on any ground whatsoever.
