AN

ACT

to repeal the North-West Frontier Province  Agricultural Research

System (Handing Over) Act, 1986 (NWFP Act No. VIII of 1987).

WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the North-West Frontier Province Agricultural Research System (Handing Over) Act, 1986 (NWFP Act No. VIII of 1987) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:-

1.         Short title and commencement:-(1) This Act may be called the ^[7][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] Agricultural Research System (Handing Over) (Repeal) Act, 2005.

(2)       It shall come into force at once.

2.         Repeal of NWFP Act No. VIII of 1987.-The NWFP Agricultural Research System (Handing Over) Act, 1986 (NWFP Act No. VIII of 1987) is hereby repealed.

3.         Savings.-(1) Notwithstanding the repeal of the North West Frontier Province Agricultural Research System (Handing Over) Act, 1986 (NWFP Act No. VIII of 1987), any scheme prepared or executed, Research made contract entered into, suit instituted, rights acquired, claims made, legal or administrative proceedings or action taken under the said Act shall be deemed to have been validly prepared or executed, entered into, instituted, acquired, made or taken,

(2)       The assets and liabilities, if any, acquired under the repealed Act shall henceforth be the assets and liabilities of the Agriculture Department.
