REGULATION

to repeal the Provincial Administered Tribal Areas

(Conservation and Exploitation of Certain Forests)

Regulation,1980.

            Preamble.—WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Provincial Administered Tribal Areas (Conservation and Exploitation of Certain Forests) Regulation, 1980 N.W.F.P. Reg. No. I of 1980);

AND WHEREAS clause (4) of Article 247 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan provides that the Governor of a Province, with the prior approval of the President, may, with respect to any matter within the legislative competence of the Provincial Assembly, make regulations for the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas or any part thereof;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers aforesaid, the Governor of the [3][Khyber Pakhtunkhwa], with the approval of the President, is pleased to make the following Regulation:

1.        Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Regulation may be called the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (Conservation and Exploitation of Certain Forests) (Repeal) Regulation, 2006.

(2)       It extends to the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas adjoining Mansehra District known as Black Mountain Range.

(3)       It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on the 24^th day of July, 2004.

2.         Repeal of the N.-W.F.P. Regulation No. I of 1980.—The Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (Conservation and Exploitation of Certain Forests) Regulation, 1980 (N.-W.F.P. Reg. No. I of 1980), is hereby repealed.
