REGULATION 

 

to provide for the extension of the West Pakistan National Calamities (Prevention and Relief) Act, 1958, to the Tribal Areas of  [1][………….]
Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar Divisions.

 

WHEREAS clause (2) of Article 223 of the Constitution [2][ 1962 ] provides that the Governor of West Pakistan with the approval of the President may, with respect to any matter within the legislative competence of the Provincial Legislature, make regulations for a Tribal Area or any part of a Tribal Area situated in the Province;

Preamble.

            AND WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the extension of the West Pakistan National Calamities (Prevention and Relief) Act, 1958, to the Tribal Areas of [3][…………] Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar Divisions; 

            NOW, THEREFORE, the Governor of West Pakistan, with the approval of the President, is pleased to make the following Regulation:—

1.                  (1) This Regulation may be called the West Pakistan National Calamities (Prevention and Relief Act) (Extension to Tribal Areas) Regulation, 1963.

Short title and commencement.

            (2) It extends to the Tribal Areas of [4][………...] Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar Divisions.

            (3) It shall come into force at once.

 

2.         The West Pakistan National Calamities (Prevention and Relief) Act, 1958, (XXXIII of 1958) shall extend to the Tribal Areas of [5][………….] Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar Divisions.
